Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"):
Help the badges team understand what this idea is all about. If this badge is
awarded for certain kinds of activities:
Lastly, do you have any ideas for artwork concepts?
@tdawson was able to create rough drafts of those ideas.
What is the next step here? Feedback from the design team?
I love the ants with ties version! :D
The first is good.
Any progress on this? Anything we (The EPEL Committee and/or community) can do?
Metadata Update from @smeragoel:
Hi @smeragoel I was thinking that instead of putting ant over the entire head, we can do either of these:

1 rework art to make council entirely of ants
2 use ant helmets instead of antheads, as only antheads distort proportion
3 along with ant helmets, I can try making ant armor using the same theme for the badgers
I have worked on the second idea which is of course easier, let me know if you like that, else I would like to attempt the first or third one
@smeragoel I actually did make a hybrid of ants and badger as a middle ground of making ants instead of badger characters haha, they could be "slimmer", but if you like, we can keep them as it is. Let me know what you think of it!

I would accept them "as is", but if you could make them slimmer, and make the arm of the center ant longer, that would be great.
Okayy, did some changes, let me know what you think of it :D @tdawson @smeragoel

That is great.
Brought it to the EPEL Steering Committee. We all agree it looks good. Let's use it.
What is the next step to making this an actual badge?
Hi @anoushkad thanks for working on this! Some recommendations:
Hey @riecatnor @smeragoel @tdawson

I have worked on this ticket and come up with a blend of badge and ant, making the bagde bodies slimmer as suggested above.
Along with wearing ties, and ant heads instead of badger heads, I have also modifies the arms to be ant-like to give a better bug look.
Kindly review this.
Thanks!
Please consider and review this design!

@riecatnor @smeragoel
Thanks!
Hi @chhavijindal:
I like the arms, but I don't think the sleeves work. Either we can reduce the curve on the bottom edges of the sleeves or try making them fit the skinny arms better.
The ants don't look like they are holding the swords. I would move the swords behind the hands.
I want to see how different colours of clothing would look. The yellow is too close to the ant's colour, and the green is close to the background. Try experimenting with different colours of the clothes to see how it looks!
Looking forward to the next version!
Hey @smeragoel @riecatnor
Thanks for the review. I have worked on the suggested changes and try to come up with a better design.
Kindly have a look and review this.
@smeragoel @riecatnor

Just tried a little variation with the background.

Metadata Update from @riecatnor:
Hello. Is there any update for this issue? The topic came up again during a matrix conversation in the Fedora EPEL channel.
I suppose this badge would be awarded manually. If so, as far as I can see, we need someone from the design team to review and approve the badge design. Tagging @riecatnor and @smeragoel who made some recommendations previously.
I know a decent amount of work has gone into the ants and swords idea, but if this direction of artwork is proving too challenging to get right, we could pivot to something similar to the FESCo badge. The EPEL Steering Committee is more similar in function to FESCo than Council anyways.
@ekidney It looks like you designed the current FESCo badge artwork in this issue. Once we come up with a clever Latin phrase, would you be interested in creating a similar badge for the EPEL Steering Committee?
