Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
The current installer for Fedora Atomic Desktops directly boots into the Anaconda installer and does not offer a Live ISO environment for users to explore the system before installing it. This is also important for accessibility as those tools are easier to setup and use in a live environment.
The current installer is currently built using lorax (and additional templates), which is no longer actively maintained and only kept on life support.
The current plan is to use KIWI, which is currently capable of building both ISOs & disk images for package mode Fedora.
Support for Bootable Containers is tracked in https://github.com/OSInside/kiwi/issues/38.

Note that rpm-ostree probably won't work well on those but that's OK as it's not expected to: https://github.com/ostreedev/ostree/issues/1921
Hello Developers,
Could you please provide an update on the current status of this issue?
I am reaching out because, due to various circumstances, I would like to try Fedora Silverblue. However, I am currently unable to do so because the Orca screen reader does not launch on the installer screen.
Perhaps someone could suggest any workarounds that would allow me to install Silverblue without requiring visual supervision?
I would be very grateful for any information and assistance.
You can give Bluefin a try. They are based on Silverblue and have Live ISO support in their latest ISOs if I'm not mistaken: https://docs.projectbluefin.io/blog/2025-10-28-bluefin-autumn/
Thank you very much.
I've taken the ISO from the blog post link you provided. Orca turns on without any issues after booting in the virtual machine.
This is a very interesting distribution!
@cnds I'm removing your comments as it's not relevant to the current discussion and not respectful.
Respectful of the work that goes into building Universal Blue. Again, I'm removing your comment. Please read the Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/
For the ostree ISOs, the situation should improve with the following enhancement: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/BuildAtomicDesktopsWithImageBuilder
mentioned in issue #26
