The Fedora Council is the primary leadership body of the Fedora Project. We are responsible for identifying the short, medium, and long-term goals of the Fedora community and organizing the project to best achieve them.

We operate on a "Default to Open" policy. Our role is to empower the community, oversee strategic initiatives, and manage the project's financial and legal interests.

Flock to Fedora: Planning and coordination for the annual Fedora contributor conference. The issue tracker manages sponsorships, speaker logistics, venue planning, registration, marketing, and post-event follow-up. Community members are welcome to browse open issues, participate in discussions, and volunteer for tasks labeled help wanted.
Policy & Charters: The definitive sources of truth for project governance.
Community Initiatives: Tracking for strategic objectives (e.g., Git Forge, Fedora Docs, Bootc, Strategy 2028, etc.).
