Stewardship. Strategy. Governance.

🏛️ About Us

The Fedora Council is the primary leadership body of the Fedora Project. We are responsible for identifying the short, medium, and long-term goals of the Fedora community and organizing the project to best achieve them.

We operate on a "Default to Open" policy. Our role is to empower the community, oversee strategic initiatives, and manage the project's financial and legal interests.

🚧 Operational Status: Migration in Progress

Welcome to our new home on Forgejo. We are currently in the process of migrating our governance workflows from Pagure to Forgejo. This Forgejo organization will eventually serve as the primary working place for Council tickets, issue tracking, and policy management.

⚠️ Current Status

The tickets repository has been migrated to Forgejo. Migration of Council Docs is pending.

🔗 How to Engage (Right Now)

📂 What Lives Here?

As we migrate, you will start to see the following repositories appear in this organization:

  • Policy & Charters: The definitive sources of truth for project governance.

  • Community Initiatives: Tracking for strategic objectives (e.g., Git Forge, Fedora Docs, Bootc, Strategy 2028, etc.).

  • Program Management: Project boards for Council-led efforts.

"The Fedora Council is accountable for the success of the project as a whole."
