The FCA charter has described the role as a broad "community manager" since its last major revision. This rewrite reframes it around the four concrete areas the FCA actually owns: Council governance, budget and fiduciary stewardship, the Flock contributor conference, and the CentOS ecosystem relationship. CentOS is newly explicit, reflecting the deepening ties between Fedora and its sibling project. Two sections that no longer describe real work—Community Initiative Support (paused by the Council) and Collaboration with Community Ops (duplicated in the Communication section)—are removed. Decision-Making now states plainly that the FCA, while a Red Hat employee paid by the Red Hat Open Source & AI Program Office (OSAIPO), acts as a fiduciary for the Fedora Project: the community budget belongs to Red Hat, but its stewardship serves Fedora. The FCA's working relationship with the Fedora Project Leader and Fedora Operations Architect is documented for the first time. The Communication section's stakeholder list is tightened to only the relationships tied to a formal responsibility. The Code of Conduct Committee duties are narrowed to coordination and secretarial work, removing language that overstated the chair's deliberative role. A "2026 role changes" section summarizes this rewrite for future readers. Document metadata is also corrected: the author byline now resolves properly (it was silently broken by a misplaced attribute entry), the unused :page-authors: attribute is removed, and the revision line carries both a semantic version (`v5.0`) and the review date. Both of the below scripts use containers, so ensure Podman or Docker is installed on your system before beginning. To build and preview the site, run:
