Problem Statement
A front and back design of a postcard, probably 4x6 or 5x7, but if it's being printed in Europe, maybe A6. The front inspired by the postcards below, and the back simple with guidelines for stamp, address, potentially the fedora logo, and maybe a mascot lineart. Since this is a project with the goal to print, it would be easiest to have a final Inkscape SVG file that can be brought into Scribus to convert to CMYK. Something I need help deciding is, whether or not this is a more generic Fedora postcard design that could be reused whether its Fosdem, or Flock. Or should we make it specifically Flock related, and have the year be updated every year. We could also do an assortment of past Fedora Wallpapers for the front designs that could be used for any event.
Contacts
Me, @ekidney and potentially someone who has a better understanding of the budget.
Deadline
Would be nice to have for Flock 2026, but I know we will have to consider the budget as well.
Who will benefit?
Everyone who attends a Fedora event will be able to share the event or Fedora in general with more people via word of mouth.
Inspiration Examples / Competitive Analysis
Priority/Severity
This is for the generic flock design that could be reused every year, with the year swapped out, if there's no time for more specific designs that are based on Flock's location that year.
Research phase and ideation
Went into sketching some ideas for a simple design
I believe that making it different every year makes it unique

I agree, and the goal would be to make a unique design every year, but there may not always be time. It's best to be prepared for the unexpected and have something just in case. It also might be a design that says 'Greetings from Fedora' with the flock and year tagline separately, so the design could be used at other conferences fedora attends.
So you are suggesting a generic one first and then a unique one if we have time?
Discussed with @jbley that we could take the 2026 away from the design above and swap out flock for 'fedora', and that way it could be easily used for any fedora table, no matter the event. So now here are some more alchemy/flock in fedora postcard sketches specific to flock 2026's location and theme.
I'd love to use a gothic font for all of the text, but I think we might need to use the Flock logo for the Flock text, and have it be a combo 🤔 I'm leaning towards the top or bottom designs for the lineart!
In my opinion the third design is the best right now

I've been trying to figure out the best way to convert into cmyk in scribus for the better part of several days and forgot this wasn't on the ticket.
