Goal
The goal of this ticket is to create reusable vector assets that can be utilized across all Flock 2026 materials. This will be achieved by vectorizing all approved sketches and/or key visual elements, compiling them into a single, organised file for easy access and picking.
The final outcome must be a set of vectorized reusable assets that will serve as the central visual foundation for the entire event. All work must adhere to the guidelines set by the approved narrative and sketches from here.

I believe issue 104 from gitlab is now this ticket on forgejo
I think that the ticket you mentioned would be the parent one of this one.
#7 is now complete and I'm going to start working on this :)
Would my idea also be implemented?
(Merging the background sparkles with the Fedora's Stone iirc)

I'll elaborate what I mentioned on #7:
Yes, your idea of merging the background sparkles with the Fedora’s Stone will be possible with how I’m going to vectorise these.
I'm going to vectorise all the graphics and have each element separate from each other so they are easily moveable/reusable. Like a library rather than static graphics. Instead of one solid image, the ‘sparkles’, ‘stone’ and the background will be all individual vectors.
Your idea is just moving the background of one of the graphics to another, so we’ll be able to just swap the background if we need to. We can mix and match different parts to create what we need for Flock! :)
It’ll work how fedora badges have their assets laid out:
so if someone is creating a badge, they can use different graphics from those and make a new badge.
An update for this!
I've started vectorising the sketches I created for #7
So far I have the starry night sky that can be used as a background and I'm in the middle of creating the decorative corners as they'll be used for the T-shirt #46
Here's a screenshot of my work so far:
and the WIP svg file:
My goal for now is to finish those decorative corners by Monday so we can review on the team call.
Update on the decorative corners!

and my updated source file (preview shows the starry background but sources for these graphics are there too):
I think it's missing the alchemy theme, if that is the theme of Flock 2026
Looked at this in April 13th Design Team Meeting - looks really good! Suggestions from the meeting include maybe playing around with the taper effect to get some thick parts in the lines, and I will check the dimensions in real life to see if the stars might be too small. Other then that, great work Emma!
@niknikovsky wrote in #10 (comment):
Do you have any specific solutions/suggestions for how it could incorporate the alchemy theme more? A good critique or feedback is more helpful if it includes a specific way to take action :)
Is it currently incorporating alchemy in any way at all?
All I see is a medieval/wizardry theme.
For an alchemy theme, I'd consider adding potions, brewing stations, the sort.

Ok! Thanks for the actionable ideas. While I've been working on the postcard, we actually do have Colur holding a potion :D.

We wouldn't have gone forward with vectorizing these designs if we didn't think they were tied to alchemy at all. But I think it's a fair question, since not everyone saw the research we looked at before these designs. Alchemy was very popular in the medieval ages, and its goal was largely to turn metal into gold and create the philosopher's stone, which is very close to magic, aka wizardry.
Following up from last week call, I implemented the feedback from @madelinepeck in #10 (comment):
I played around with the power stroke path effect to make the lines look like they were drawn with a calligraphy pen or dip pen.
The four foundation icons were the hardest and took the longest to apply this too 😅
Here is the current draft:
Hoping to get this vector done asap so we can progress with #46 to have a tshirt design ready by to propose to the planning team this week and finalised & handed off by next week :)
Updated source file:
Looked at during the Design Team April 20, 2026 - Love the calligraphy line details for the first design! No one in the meeting seemed to dislike this! Big heart emojis :)
Just an update for the last three graphics for this. Here's what I have so far:
The sun and moon still need a good bit of work - so it will probably change drastically from what I have now. The other two just need some tweaking I hope! I really enjoyed playing with the light for the middle graphic :)
I'm going to spend a significant part of my day today working on these to get them to a place I'm happy with. I'm aiming to get these basically finished by Monday so I can close this out and work on the name badge and social media graphics.
I've attached the source svg I'm working with below.
An update for this!
‘Discovering Fedora’ - I added hands to Colur to make him more connected to the table. I tweaked the rays of light and diffused them a bit more.
‘Fedora as the Philosopher’s Stone’ - I brought in the starts from the background graphic around the Fedora logo to make it more cohesive.
‘Sun & Moon’ - I opted to get rid of this graphic as I didn’t see the use case for them any more. The above graphics, paired with the decorative corners and the graphic Madeline will complete for the postcard, l believe is enough to use across the deliverable for Flock this year.
I’m going to close this ticket for now. They are in a good position to serve as a base for deliverables. :)
Updated SVG below.
