A Beta wallpaper should be in the same format of the final wallpaper, and essentially just the rough draft.

• Mid-April is when our final beta wallpaper should be done!
• The recommended wallpaper dimensions are (old dimensions were 4096×4096px) (source) 6k square 6144 x 6144px.
• Use only Open Source programs like Blender, Krita, Inkscape, Gimp, etc.
• Please post both a screenshot or bitmap export of your work AND the source file.
• For example, post both a *.blend Blender file and a PNG render so we can see what you did.

I guess as I'm working on the wallpaper, I'm torn between how close to reference Enigma's gears, references from online below, and leaning away from the exact layout of them for something more visually appealing and complex. The first reference photo is just one lump that doesn't evoke much movement or thoughtful composition. If I were to stay on the path of more explicitly referencing Enigma's gears, I like the idea of an expanded approach like the second reference, but from a different, less head-on perspective.

I've played around with my very basic knowledge of Blender to try to make some gears, with the goal of a 3D reference for figuring out the composition.

Hey Luya! We plan to have the final wallpaper done by next week, around July 2nd. With us delivering the final wallpaper ahead of schedule, do we still want to have the "beta" version included? Maybe my standards are high, but knowing the differences that will be between the beta and final, I don't personally find the beta very appealing to look at 😂
