Priority / Severity
High (This will bring a huge increase in performance/productivity/usability cover)
I will use this as a template for the project and the Czech Republic design as a placeholder
(The "ATTENDEE" text on the back can be swapped out for "Volunteer", "Staff", "Fedora Design Team Member", etc.)
Keep in mind that this is a quick sketch and there are improvements to be made
Hi @niknikovsky, this ticket is blocked by #10. Once we have the vectors created from that, we can use them here and create the tshirt :) Also we don't need to include 'attendee' or anything on them, just a design and the flock logo.
You do have two other tickets assigned to you at the moment, so I would suggest working on those & completing them before taking on any new tickets! We don't want you spread too thin!
This was kind of just from working on the flock postcard designs, where I was thinking about color palettes so I thought I'd share here. Obviously, this ticket is blocked by the vector designs. But once we have those, we might have to limit the colors for printing.
I really love the squiggle designs, so I was just plopping those there and imagining them in one color. I think a medium fedora blue or a cream/tan color as the base might be our best options that keep in line with the alchemy theme!
Following @madelinepeck's concept earlier in this ticket, I have vectorised the decorative corners. The SVG with it can be found on this comment: #10 (comment)
Converted the stroke to paths so it's less finicky :)
Again working from @madelinepeck's initial mockup 😄 I have these 3 variations. I went with the Cormorant Unicase font for the alternative style location text. I think it goes best with the calligraphic style of the decorative corners. I'm leaning towards option 3 but I would be interested in what others think 🤔
For the colour of the tshirt, I looked at the colour options again from the vendor last year, and I think these are the closest to that sand colour we were initially thinking and a lighter option:
I would be happy to go with the Dessert Dust colour 🤔 We can ask the Flock planning team too what their preference is.
We need to hand this off this week so we would only be able to make small changes atp🙏

I'd go for option 2 if option 3 wouldn't fit somehow.
As for the color, why not offer both?
Brought this up in today's Flock Planning meeting. The team seemed to prefer the partial design more (the original two corners) vs the full rectangle border and agreed it would be better to keep the logo as is, since it will be on other printed materials around the conference. There wasn't a strong preference for either color, so we'll just have to decide¯_(ツ)_/¯ I was originally leaning towards the Heaher Haze only because it allows for higher contrast. But I think that Lidija is right about the quality- I feel like Heather shirts have a specific texture because it's a combination of two colors in the fibers vs just one color.
Need to send the final file by Monday May 4, 2026
This looks really amazing Emma! Really beautiful work, you should be very proud of how this turned out!
I have sent final files over to the planning team. We are going with the Desert Dust colour and will include the white Fedora logo on the back also.
I have attached the optimised PDF for print for the front graphic and also the SVG of the design.
Here is a mock-up of the t-shirt:
I will leave this ticket open until I've heard confirmation there are no issues with the printer! :) Once closed I will upload these to the repo also.
All files required for printing the t-shirt have been handed over to the planning team, including:
Files have been added to the flock/2026 folder on the assets repo through: design/assets#4
