Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
What do you need?
A conference name badge that we will use for Flock 2026.
Artwork is to be created from the existing vectors on #10 - therefore this ticket cannot be started until #10 is complete.
For the front of the badge, we no longer need to include names as labels will be printed onsite to attach to the badge. Therefore, we need to include space for that label.
Regarding the information present on the back of the badge, we can re-use information from last year and update links to 2026.
Required files would be an SVG source file, a PDF in CMYK for print and PNGs of both sides. The size should be 3.5 x 5.5 inches.
Request type
Graphic Design / Artwork (logo, an icon, an infographic, swag design, etc.)

Started having a look at this today :) I’m not looking for feedback yet, just wanted to provide an update on where I’m at.
I used last year's name badge as a base:
Looking at last years badge, I wanted to think more about the hierarchy of information and give more importance to the names. I'd like to increase the size of the name compared to last year. I believe this year the names will be added to the badge via a label at the check in desk so I need to check with the planning team to confirm how big that label is.
I tried out the different graphics we have available from ticket #10 and played around with some possible layouts. These are not refined, just meant to give a general visual for the idea.
I like the look of idea 3, but for a name badge it would be too busy and take away from the printed name. Therefore, I am leaning towards idea 1 and I’ll continue to develop that.
My plan is to play around with the light rays and stars and overall make the graphic feel more connected to the rest of the badge. I'll work on refining the layout overall also.
I’ll post another update by the end of the week :)
I think design 3 could in fact be improved if the text had more space.
Also, speaking of the text, I think we could use a bold version of the font for the name, and keep the organization (or whatever the "Fedora" placeholder text is meant to be
Following my previous update, I have a more refined draft.
Front
Worked idea 1 some more with the intention of the attendee's name being prominent and easy to read. Here are the changes I made:
Back
For the back, I updated what we had for last year.
I won’t be online next week, so I will make relevant changes when I’m back on the 25th. This is due end of the month, so I'm planning to finalise everything that week I'm back.
Source SVGs for the font and back are attached below.
Love this version!!
I am wondering, do you know if the top cutout for the lanyard is one or two holes? I’m just thinking coz the CentOS Connect ones from this year were two holes and worried about the Fedora logo in the top left getting cut of if it was two.
One small thing is that it looks like the Flock logo might be too much to the left. I can help fix that as I know you’re away next week :) Is that okay?
Emma this version looks absolutely amazing! I think it’s honestly so cute and really great use of the vector designs you made!
And crazy seeing how the adjustments you made in between versions brought it together- it really makes all the difference!
@jesschitas @madelinepeck Thank you both for feedback!!
Ahh you're right! I believe it's two holes this year. I will move the logo so it won't be cut out.
I was trying to balance it out bc the feather on the lower left but looking at it with fresh eyes I agree it's too far 😆 I'm back today so I can fix it - thank you though!!
I'll make the above changes and work on converting these for print 😄
Updated version! Changes:

Looks amazing Emma!
We could make holes on the design itself, unless you think that's not necessary
Files were sent to organisers over the weekend :) Adding to the ticket for documentation.
