#63 - Consultation request - OGX logo and mascot - design/tickets

What do you need?

Recently, the Llama Stack upstream project was renamed OGX. The core team has been trying to come up with a new logo/icon and possibly a mascot. We can certainly use some design expertise! Please review the ongoing issue and provide any feedback or suggestions.

Graphic Design / Artwork (logo, an icon, an infographic, swag design, etc.)

Problem Statement

The project needs a new identity with the rename, and the current attempt feels like pulling disparate parts together. With some design guidance it will help to create a more cohesive solution.

Wesley Chun, and @cybette, AI Community Architects in RH OSAIPO. Our work is adjacent to the Fedora project, and @jflory7 referred us to this talented design team.

I'm also part of the Fedora AI-ML SIG, helping to pave the way for more collaboration between upstream AI projects and Fedora.

Deadline

TBD, awaiting confirmation from Wesley. With the current plan, the deadline will be unrealistic for a new design, but some feedback and suggestions would already be very beneficial and valuable.

Update (from Wesley) - the decision will be imminent and likely made this Thu (May 14) @ 12 noon EDT/GMT-4 which is when the project's next public office hours take place. Any feedback or suggestions are welcome in the GH issue ASAP.

Who will benefit?

A lovely new identity will definitely benefit the OGX community, and likely bring more visibility to the Fedora design team.

Hi @cybette, this looks really interesting! :) Just wanted to give a quick heads up that due to existing deadlines & PTO, the earliest we can begin planning and work on this is early July. We can touch base then to get the ball rolling!

Thanks for your response @ekidney! I'll check with the OGX project but I think July will be too late. Nevertheless, now we know about this wonderful design resource with which we will consult with more lead time in the future!
