Documentation Team
The Fedora Documentation Team is responsible for the management, curation, and publishing of the documentation hosted at docs.fedoraproject.org.
Ensuring that all Docs repositories have consistent structure.
Efforts to keep the team(s) organized and up and running, onboarding of new contributors. All typically community building measurements.
These include the former System Administrators’ Guide and various individual documents such as the ARM documentation.
Migrate everything from GitLab, GitHub, etc. to Forgejo and improve the clarity, systematic naming conventions and ease of use of the Docs.org unit. This also includes a systematic description and documentation of the intended use of each repository.
Leveraging Forgejo’s capabilities for documentation automation
The goal is to reduce barriers for contributors by making the instructions easier to read and use, providing technical support and offering online training. Additionally, the existing instructions must be adapted for the new Fedora repository.
On the one hand, Doc's homepage will be expanded to include information for contributors. This is intended to encourage visitors to participate with contributions and make it easier to access contributions. The aim is to attract new contributors.
On the other hand, the graphic design of the pages will be aligned with the Fedora main page.
