Many authors work independently of each other on Quick Docs documentation, focusing on specific topics. We need to establish a procedure to maintain a systematic overview of content quality — particularly timeliness — and to enable us to take corrective action if necessary. We also need to keep looking for ways to improve content continuously.
This project specifically targets Quick-Docs articles that have not been updated or reviewed for a very long time, specifically those from 2023 or earlier and/or Release 39 or older.
Special project to review and update articles about kernel and booting.
Special temporary project to review and adjust the collection of tags to use in Antora CMS to assign articles to common interest topic groups
Special temporary project to review and adjust the category system to use in Antora to assign articles to topics of interest
Ongoing maintenance and improvement of the articles’ content
The aim is to replace the current structure of the collection – which is organized via a table of contents – with a system of categories and tags. In particular, this will require the Quick Docs homepage to be replaced. The new page must contain a list of categories – either as a static list or a drop-down list – and a list of tags. Additional content is yet to be determined.
