Details in the mailing list post: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/epel-devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/ONAGYZSMJ7HJQWFSODWMVQPYSGQMJGYP/
TL;DR: I propose to make a technically "incompatible" update to syncthing v2 in EPEL 10.3 and 10.2, and to retire the package in EPEL 9 and 8 where it can no longer be updated.
This has been approved by the EPEL Steering Committee, with 2 notes.
Note1: The committee does not vote on retiring packages, so this vote is just on updating to v2 in EPEL 10.3 and 10.2
Note2: When retiring packages, it's good to give lots of warning and announcements, like you are doing. So, thank you for what you have done, and please continue.
Thank you - I have submitted the updates for EPEL 10.3 and 10.2 and sent a post to the epel-announce list as required (it still requires moderator approval).
I will announce the upcoming retirement in EPEL 9 and 8 separately.
