I would like to request the creation of a new organization and associated
teams in Fedora Forge.
New Organization Details:
Desired Organization Name (Short Name):
kdeFull Name of Organization: Fedora KDE
Description of Organization's Purpose: This organization will host repositories
and manage collaboration for the Fedora KDE team.
Website URL (Optional): https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/KDE
Avatar/Logo (Optional): https://gitlab.com/-/project/38382275/uploads/64fd7d931f9ff5cf7e379a6c4d4936ac/kde_logo_option_workstation_kde.png
Fedora Accounts Group for Organization Owners:
forge-kde-ownersThe owners group should have myself (@ngompa).
New Team Details (within 'kde' organization):
Team 1: Fedora KDE members
Target Organization Name:
kdeTeam Name: members
Description of Team's Purpose: Core team responsible for code contributions and
repository management.
Desired Permission Level in Forgejo: Write
Fedora Accounts Group to Map to Team:
forge-kde-members(linked tokde-sig)Include all repositories?: Yes (This team should have write access to all
current and future repositories in 'kde'.)
Please let me know if any further information is required.
The namespace and the associated teams (for owners and members) have been created.
I have also opened a pull request to perform the team and group mappings.
@ryanlerch, could you please create a
forge-kde-ownerswith just @ngompa in it? For theforge-kde-membersgroup, I am going to let you decide whether to inherit directly from the pre-existingkde-sigor to populate one from the ground up. Thanks!Created:
@ngompa, signing out and back in again should lead the mapping to take effect for you as well as for the members. Please feel free to reopen this ticket if there is anything else that we can help with. Closing this as fixed.
I don't appear to be able to access the group at all. ☹️
@ngompa, I see that you are now the newest owner of https://forge.fedoraproject.org/kde, and I also see both you and @yselkowitz as the members there. But I don't see any repositories there yet. Let us know if there is anything that you need our help with or if this issue ticket can be closed.
This is good now.
