Summary

To host the MCP server centrally for the Fedora community, we need to deploy it using Fedora Infrastructure's standard tooling. This ensures high availability and automated updates.

Details

Note: This story is only executed if the central HTTP/SSE architecture is chosen in Story 2.

Tasks

  1. Create a lightweight, secure container image (Dockerfile) for the goern/forgejo-mcp binary.
  2. Write Ansible playbooks or OpenShift manifests (depending on the target environment) for deployment.
  3. Configure networking, including ingress routing and TLS termination.
  4. Implement basic health checks and monitoring for the MCP service.

Acceptance Criteria

  • The service is successfully deployed to a Fedora Infrastructure staging environment via CI/CD.
  • The container runs as a non-root user.
  • External requests to the HTTP/SSE endpoint are successfully routed and processed.
  • Infrastructure code is reviewed and merged into the appropriate configuration repository.
