  • Infrastructure and Operations: Configuration management, deployment scripts, or tooling used by the Fedora Infrastructure team to run the project.
  • Release Engineering and Packaging: Tools, scripts, and templates used to build, compose, and distribute Fedora releases, editions, and spins.
  • Governance and Team Organization: Trackers, documentation, and collaborative spaces for official Fedora Teams, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), Working Groups, and Fedora Council initiatives.
  • Fedora-Specific Software: Software projects conceptualized and developed primarily to serve the Fedora community (e.g., Fedora Badges, Bodhi, fedora-messaging, etc.).

Is this part of commops? If so, i would suggest having a team in the commops org to manage permissions for this rather than an entirely new organization.

Mmmm I filled this request per @jflory7's request, he did mention he wants to spin (pun intended) the matrix group as it's own thing. If you want we could wait for him to come back from his TO

Hey @ryanlerch, while the Matrix WG is a part of Community Ops, we were having discussions about spinning it off as a more independent team so that @farchord and @sfaulken can take more ownership than how our current permissions allow. I admit that this is confusing and the Community Ops docs need some work to make this less confusing. I'll take an action item to work on this.

In the meantime, I do think our intention is to have this as a dedicated organization. For now, it might just be tickets, but I like the idea of homing other Fedora-related Matrix projects here. Perhaps @gwmngilfen's Meetbot code for instance, if he was willing to move it under a Fedora umbrella from his personal namespace. But for now, we will just use the "tickets" repo as the starting point because we need a better way of tracking and managing requests for coordinated work around our Matrix ecosystem.
