Eligibility Criteria

  • Infrastructure and Operations: Configuration management, deployment scripts, or tooling used by the Fedora Infrastructure team to run the project.
  • Release Engineering and Packaging: Tools, scripts, and templates used to build, compose, and distribute Fedora releases, editions, and spins.
  • Governance and Team Organization: Trackers, documentation, and collaborative spaces for official Fedora Teams, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), Working Groups, and Fedora Council initiatives.
  • Fedora-Specific Software: Software projects conceptualized and developed primarily to serve the Fedora community (e.g., Fedora Badges, Bodhi, fedora-messaging, etc.).

Closing this as invalid.

The Software Engineering SIG wiki page appears to have been only recently created, and it lists only a single member who has only created a Fedora Account within the past two months.

Additionally, the SIG does not appear to have been created following any of the processes documented in the Fedora CommOps SIG How-To guide.

We'd recommend following the documented process for establishing a SIG before requesting a Forge organization. Once the SIG is properly established, feel free to file a new request.
