Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Summary
Choose and document the backup architecture for Helm-deployed Forgejo
Details
Evaluate how dist-git backups should run on OpenShift given scale and operational constraints.
Deliverable: architecture decision record with recommended approach.
Will mount a ocs-storagecluster-cephfs PVC 500GB to use as a backups scratch space on staging and prod clusters.
Netapp store to hold the repos/config etc.
Staging has a 150GB netapp store
Prod will have a 500GB netapp store
Need to come up with a mechanism to copy the backups out of this ocs-storagecluster-cephfs store over to the backups01.
Need to modify our helm charts to mount this ocs-storagecluster-cephfs store with a dist-git boolean perhaps.
Helmchart now creates the backup scratch PVC and mounts it in the forgejo instance.
May backport this solution to the staging/prod forge instance later.
