Description of request
Hello Fedora Infrastructure team,
I would like to request membership in the fi-apprentice group to gain
read-only access to Fedora infrastructure machines, so I can learn the
Set up and find areas to contribute.
About me:
(@cybette), Dominik Kawka (@dominikkawka), and Justin Wheeler (@jflory7).
Community Blog and Fedora Magazine. We plan to eventually productionize work
like this on Fedora-owned infrastructure (Communishift / OpenShift). Building on top of this mini-project and under the supervision of my mentors, I will be developing a SLM/LLM using Ramalama RAG based off Fedora RPM Packaging Guidelines.
Why apprentice access:
Joining as an apprentice was suggested by my mentors as an interim step to
familiarize myself with the infrastructure (including bastion access) while
dedicated GPU/server resources are being provisioned for the project. I'd like
to start by looking around the setup, reading logs, and picking up
beginner-friendly tickets as I learn.
SSH key: My Ed25519 public SSH key is already uploaded to my FAS account, so it
should sync once I'm added to the group.
Carol (@cybette), Dominik (@dominikkawka), and Justin (@jflory7) can vouch for me.
Happy to provide any additional information needed. Thank you!
No deadline, but the earlier the better.
Hi,
I added you to the group. Have fun with it :-)
Hello, @zlopez! Thanks a lot for adding me to the group. Cheers to infra apprenticeship!
Reach to us on #admin:fedoraproject.org on Matrix if you encounter any issue.
Sure! I will. Thanks once again!
