Description of request
I used to be an admin of the https://pagure.io/FedoraReview/ repo on Pagure, so I could merge PRs, do releases, etc. Somehow I lost the permissions when the project was migrated to https://forge.fedoraproject.org/packaging/FedoraReview
I assume more people lost the permissions, but I am not sure how to verify. Can you please restore them?
Thank you very much.
On a related note, can we have forge-only teams for organizations like that? We can have them as fas groups, but is that overkill for something that is only used within forge?
@frostyx, I gave you admin on FedoraReview. Make sure to
watchthe repository if you want to get issue/PR notifications. The person who creates a repository in Forgejo is supposed to automatically get permissions, but it seems this doesn't always happen...Thank you very much @gotmax23.
I'll keep the issue open in case somebody wanted to investigate why the permissions weren't migrated. But feel free to close it.
They weren't migrated because that's not how the migrator works.
@frostyx, were you the one who performed the migration on Forgejo or did someone else? The team permissions are supposed to be set up where whoever creates a new repository in the packaging org automatically gets added as an admin to that repo. If that's the case, then this is indeed a Forgejo bug. But if someone else migrated the repository, then no other permissions would've been migrated from Pagure, as ngompa pointed out.
Thank you both. The migration was triggered by somebody else, so according to what you are saying, everything went as expected.
