Description of request

A mirror listed or returned for EPEL under the US country selection appears to resolve to Korean-hosted or Korean-geolocated IP space.

Observed mirror hostname:
https://mirror-icn.yuki.net.uk/fedora

Observed URL or MirrorManager page:
https://mirror-icn.yuki.net.uk/

Observed IP address(es):
160.20.142.103

Observed geolocation evidence:

Maxmind GEO IP Lookup indicates South Korea (KR), Asia. Yuki mirror page also states location is in KR

Expected behavior:
For clients using the US EPEL mirror list or US-local MirrorManager selection, mirrors should resolve to US-hosted or US-appropriate infrastructure unless intentionally configured otherwise.

Actual behavior:
This mirror appears in the US EPEL mirror list or is being returned to US-based clients, but DNS resolution/geolocation indicates Korean IP space.

Impact:
Some environments have policy or compliance requirements to avoid repository traffic to foreign IP addresses. If the mirror metadata is inaccurate, systems using EPEL may unintentionally reach non-US infrastructure.

Request:
Please review the MirrorManager metadata for this mirror, including country, host country, allowed countries, netblocks, and any geo/DNS configuration, and update it if the mirror is incorrectly categorized or being returned to US clients in error.

I thought I replied to this but I guess I only thought I did.

We need to contact this mirror and ask them what is going on. It's very confusing...

A site that has a KR ip, a .uk hostname and says it's in kansas, us.

@kwabang is listed as site admin. I will mention them here and also send them an email to comment.
