Welcome Message & Introduction
Welcome
Hello
@nnadozie(FAS profile)! Welcome to Fedora! Before we begin, please subscribe to the Fedora join mailing list at fedora-join@lists.fedoraproject.org. We use this list for general discussion, and it is also where the community shares tasks that need help.
These links are a good read to begin with. They tell you what the Free/Open Source community is about, and then they'll introduce you to Fedora: what Fedora is all about, and what we do, and of course, how we do it:
Next, when you're ready, could you please introduce yourself (preferably on the list) so that the community can get to know you? (Interests, skills, anything you wish to say about yourself really).
Finally, could you let us know how you learned about the Fedora project? Was it from a colleague, or social media, for example?
If you have any questions at all, please ask! We'll use this ticket to keep in touch! :)
Get to know each other better
In addition, could you provide some information to understand your requirements better? (You can write them in the introduction, or answer here if you feel more comfortable).
For example:
your experience with Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) communities/ecosystems:
your background/skills, for example:
your experience in communication platforms:
how much time are you looking to/are you able to spend on volunteering (approximate hours per week)?
Remember that this is not a job interview at all. This is just an icebreaker to help all your new friends get to know you quicker. The better we know you, the better we can support you in identifying Fedora activities that promise to be relevant for you.
Please write how much/whatever you wish. :).
Hi everyone!
My name is Emmanuel Alozie Nnadozie, a full stack software engineer.
I have skills in Nodejs,Nestjs, express, typescript, python, SQL databases and mongodb.
My front end skills are Reactjs, Nextjs, css and css frameworks like tailwind css, Material UI, etc...
I also make use of tools like docker, jira, clickup, etc...
I will like to describe myself as someone who is hardworking, diligence and very passionate.
I'm someone who enjoys working with other people in a team to complete challenging tasks and projects
to achieve our technical, commercial and financial goals.
Over the years I have been opportune to work on a number of projects from conception to finish which I have
gained reasonable skills and experience.
I joined Outreachy internship to gain more experience about open source projects and I will work very hard to make
we achieve our goals.
I learned about Fedora before because I use Linux and liked it a lot.
I came across it again as one of the projects in Outreachy and I think is a good opportunity to contribute to this amazing project.
I had participated in Oppia project before during contribution stage but I did not make it to the internship stage and I hope this time around
I would be selected to join the internship stage of Fedora project.
I will like to be one of the mentors in this project to help others to make good impact in the project.
I have experience in building and scaling software and that is what I will bring to this project and the community.
My preferred real time chat software is discord but I'm getting to love Fedora chat.
I'm a a moderator in a discord platform called X school academy, meaning I have skills in moderating in any community and I can handle it here if given such opportunity.
I'm looking forward to work with everyone
Welcome! I put in some interest tags in for you.
Since you are an Outrechy applicant, I suggest you to focus on your Outreachy tasks for now. However, we can circle back to this ticket after the fact, if you want to keep contributing.
