Bugs expected to be fixed in a future release are listed below as comments. - https://forge.fedoraproject.org/kde/tracker/issues/500 No progress reported for updates download and major upgrades - rpm-ostree support in Discover is currently not capable to properly report downloading and installing progress for regular and major release updates - Workaround: Wait for the update to download and complete - https://forge.fedoraproject.org/kde/tracker/issues/136 Fedora Flatpak app results in Discover have generic icons - Workaround: Add the Flathub remote to get icons back - Non-Flatpak app results in application menu - Appstream metadata includes all RPM applications available in Fedora - Some are not available as Flatpaks - Workaround (partial): Add the Flathub remote in Discover to make more apps available - https://forge.fedoraproject.org/kde/tracker/issues/549 OpenH264 is not installed automatically after the initial installation - Workaround is to overlay it manually: `rpm-ostree override remove noopenh264 --install openh264 --install mozilla-openh264` - Better fix would be to figure out a way to include support via a systemd-sysext to avoid layering packages - https://forge.fedoraproject.org/kde/tracker/issues/109 Group management requires manual actions: - Impacts the GUI from kdenetwork-filesharing - See: https://forge.fedoraproject.org/kde/tracker/issues/109#issuecomment-555155 - Workaround: https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/how-can-i-add-myself-to-the-libvirt-group-in-fedora-silverblue/1412/2?u=siosm - Related trackers: - https://forge.fedoraproject.org/atomic-desktops/tracker/issues/108 - https://github.com/fedora-silverblue/issue-tracker/issues/362 - https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-tracker/issues/155 - https://forge.fedoraproject.org/kde/tracker/issues/697 Plasma Welcome shows Plasma update page on first boot in F44

This will be fixed once the 5.94 frameworks are pushed to Fedora 36.

Edit: This is now fixed.

Will be fixed with the Plasma 5.27 release, which will likely come to F37 and will be included by default for F38.

  • No Flatpaks are installed by default:
    • See above for dependency
    • Workaround: Use Flatpaks from Flathub for now

Fixed in F40 (https://pagure.io/fedora-kde/SIG/issue/13).

For Fedora 39 and below, the Flatpaks are available in the Fedora remote, just not installed by default.

This is mostly fixed as we have good integration in Discover for adding Flathub.

Improvement would be adding a page in Plasma Welcome to enable third-party repos on login with https://pagure.io/fedora-kde/SIG/issue/295.

This isn't fixed as far as I know. Where did you find that this has been fixed?

@siosm I get a [de] displayed under the LUKS dialogs so I assume the input get the locale correctly assigned. I did not change anything manually I dont think this is a ublue thing and I think to remember to have had this on official kinoite-prerelease a few months ago.

I am using ublue kinoite-main:latest currently which is at 40. (they may have a change on their own).

This is not the issue tracker for Universal Blue images. If you think something is fixed in Kinoite, please check with Kinoite on a fresh installation.

Installing and updating (updates come in almost on a daily basis) software is very slow. Maybe there needs a lot to be done, but compared to F40-KDE spin it is very slow.
Also logging-off is slow. For 5-6 seconds it seems nothing happens and then finally the screen goes dark.
Thanks.

@jandemus Please file independent issues. This is a tracking issue for Kinoite bugs, not a general place to report issue with Kinoite.
