The template is based on the table from our documentation and tries to include information from related past tickets.

Source is available in my fork: https://forge.fedoraproject.org/peartown/tickets/src/branch/templates/.forgejo/issue_template/weblate_project_request.yaml

The template is also available in the fork under issues -> New Translation Project Request: https://forge.fedoraproject.org/peartown/tickets/issues/new?template=.forgejo%2fissue_template%2fweblate_project_request.yaml

I am still working on it. It needs some polishing, maybe reorganization. Comments, suggestions... are welcome.

interesting initiative!

what is the goal you have with creating this template?

make our life easier? (prevent issues, do we have example of situation to prevent in the past?)
-> if that's the goal, we could remove a few things and request the license (which always is a challenge to me)

make the upstream requester life easier? (help understanding what weblate can do and what we need to help?)
-> if that's the goal, provide links to fedora docs and weblate docs and explain what usage will be done of each field?

something else?

I see a lot of good ideas and content

Both goals can be attainable, IMHO. Presently, the latter is probably my focus.

For the former I plan to find out if and how the data from the template can be obtained, for example to feed it into our (Rafael's) scripts.

Loved the idea. Thanks for the initiative! Here a few suggestions:

To the first paragraph after the title, how about add a pointer on where to get help if any doubts arise? Example: "If you have any doubts, don't hesitate to contact us"

username: IIRC the user must have logged into Weblate at least once to have their username listed to be selected as project admin. I suggest noting to log in at least one time before filing the issue.

filemask: I suggest using 'po/*.po' as example to indicate that the relative path is important as well.

EDIT:

Instead of "Pull request", how about "Merge/Pull request or direct push", and the options 'merge/pull request' or 'direct push' ?

I will do it. Likely sometime after two weeks.
