Profile README and configuration for Mentored Projects Forgejo organization
`README.md` was verbose. "Mission & Purpose" and "What We Do" covered
overlapping ground, and key links required scrolling past multiple
sections to find. This revision consolidates both intro sections into a
single "Mission & Purpose" paragraph, adds shield badges at the top for
one-click access to the issue tracker, docs source, and Matrix room,
inlines channel links directly into the "Getting Involved" steps, and
trims section headings ("Core Team & Contacts" → "Coordinators",
"Associated Repositories" → "Repositories").

Fedora Mentored Projects
Mission & Purpose
The Fedora Mentored Projects Working Group coordinates Fedora's participation in Outreachy and Google Summer of Code (GSoC). We review project proposals from community mentors, allocate program funding, and support mentors and interns throughout their engagement. Since 2005, Fedora contributors have mentored dozens of interns across projects ranging from fullstack web development to AI-assisted packaging tools to community outreach campaigns.
