Event owners who receive Mindshare Committee funding are expected to publish an event report after their event. Currently, there is no standard template or guidance for what these reports should cover, which leads to inconsistent reporting and makes it difficult for the committee to evaluate the impact of its investment.

We should create a template or set of guiding questions for event reports. At a minimum, a report should address:

  • How did the event go overall? What was the general atmosphere and attendance like?
  • What conversations happened at the booth or during talks? Why did people come to the Fedora table?
  • What went well and what would we do differently next time?
  • Were there any swag, logistics, or event box issues?
  • Budget actuals versus what was requested.

This could live as a new page in the Mindshare Committee docs site, linked from the existing event request templates and the "After Your Event" section added in mindshare/docs#11.

Identified as a gap while closing mindshare/tickets#114 (Fedora Council Strategy Summit action items).
