During the discussion on mindshare/tickets#131, both @t0xic0der and @jnsamyak expressed interest in serving as the Mindshare Committee's representative to the Fedora Council for the F45 cycle. This revealed that we do not have a documented role description or a defined process for how the Committee selects this representative when there is more than one interested candidate.
We need to address two things:
Role documentation: A clear description of the Council Representative's responsibilities, expectations, and time commitment. @t0xic0der has offered to contribute to this based on his experience serving in the role during the previous term, and this would be a valuable contribution to the Mindshare Committee docs site.
Selection process: A defined procedure for how the Committee chooses a representative when multiple candidates are interested. This should cover nominations, discussion period, voting mechanics, and term length.
Having this documented will set a baseline expectation for the role on both the Council and Mindshare sides, and ensure future transitions are handled transparently.
