Release Party Template

This template can be used by anybody who is holding a Release Party to apply for budgets and swags for their events. The requests are monitored and acted upon by mindshare.

  1. Full Name
    Perry Rivera
  2. FAS ID*
    Lajuggler
  3. Event Date*
    Saturday, April 26, 2025 - 14:00-17:00 TBD
(May slide based on actual Fedora Release 42 date or on venue availability)
  4. Event Location*
TBD based on costs and actual funding.
General location would be in the San Fernando Valley, CA or vicinity
  5. Wiki Page
    https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SFVLUG_Release_42_Event
  6. Swags
We'd like to distribute out Fedora-branded swag (stickers, clothing, pens, commuter mugs, bandanas, chargers, etc.). Whatever is available is always welcome.
  7. Budget
We're projecting up to $600, but as always we'll economize where possible. The bulk might be in the room rental fee, depending on quotes we receive.

See the budget proposal on the wiki. This would include items like:

  • Cake (hopefully with a Fedora logo)
  • Pizzas
  • Paper plates
  • Napkins
  • Room rental fee (if applicable)
  1. Target Audience*
    Linux users group
    Tech minded audiences
Beginners wandering in from the general public
Beginners thinking of switching from another operating system

Hi @perryrivera, I'm sorry we were not agile enough to meet the need for this event planning. I hope we can try again in the future. Thanks for all you do for Fedora. :pray_tone1:
