Hi,

I'd like request funding for a Fedora 43 Release Party during this year's "Jesień Linuksowa" conference organized by the Polish Linux Users' Group, 25–26 October. We did this last year and it worked out great, and I think it was a great advertisement for Fedora.

Estimated cost: 150 USD.

@keszybz Is the Fedora funding "mission critical" here for the event? The event is happening this weekend, so there is not much time to react. I think we can do it, but you might have to go into the event without having a final approval yet.

Sorry for filing the ticket so late. Please proceed with the ticket as normal. I hope it gets approved, but if not, I'll handle it myself.

This event is tomorrow and the day after so we would have to make to do with the approvals that we get.

Per the Small Events Policy, this ticket received at least two +1 votes and no -1 votes in at least three days. Therefore, @keszybz is approved to be reimbursed for up to $150 USD.

Also, in the future, the budget should be a little more detailed so we can better understand what the expenses are. I suspect we are fine here, but there are some expense types that are hard or even impossible to reimburse. Knowing what you are budgeting for allows us to make sure we avoid any bureaucratic papercuts down the line.

@keszybz To process your reimbursement, please submit a link to your event report as a new comment in this ticket. It can be a Fedora Discussion post, a Community Blog post, a personal blog post, or social media posts made during the event. After you have submitted your event report, please follow the Fedora Reimbursement Request outlined here:

https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/mindshare-committee/policy/reimbursements/

Thank you @keszybz for sharing the Fedora Discussion topic about the event! It looks like it was a great time. Don't forget to take some more pictures next time. 😉

Given that the event is complete and we have the event report, this ticket has no more pending action items. I have accounted for this ticket in the 2025 budget. Closing as complete. 🌊
