Hello folks, I will be participating in the Fedora Council Strategy Summit 2026. As the Mindshare representative to the Fedora Council, the first thing that I want to do there is to communicate and liaise with our and their requirement. I plan on presenting an exhaustive report to the Fedora Council on just what we have been up to all this time, as well, so I could also use your feedback on that. As such, I have gone ahead and assigned all the committee members on this ticket - please take some time to elaborate on just what the Fedora Council can help you with in the better fulfilment of the committee's purpose.

assigned to @gwmngilfen, @lbazan, @gridhead, @ekidney, @josephgayoso, and @sumantrom
I recuse myself as a current member of the Fedora Council, and I am too biased to provide input here. I would look to the rest of you on whether you feel there is a need for Fedora Project policy change or resources you need in order to be successful on your respective focus areas.
Did not discuss during the 2025-12-11 Mindshare Committee meeting.
Our meeting agenda was full and we did not get a chance to bring this ticket up. However, the feedback window remains open! There is also now a public Fedora Discussion topic about the Fedora Council Strategy Summit, so feedback and ideas on the Council-level planning is also welcome there.
I propose a deadline of Wednesday, 14 January 2026 for this ticket, because after then, the Summit agenda will be mostly final!
changed start date to December 08, 2025 and changed due date to January 14, 2026
Discussed during the 2026-01-08 Mindshare Committee meeting.
I highlighted the upcoming deadline for feedback on the Council Strategy Summit agenda on January 14th, 2026. We discussed the importance of Mindshare members contributing their perspectives on high-level project goals and strategy for the coming year. Please review the agenda and share any thoughts or suggestions on the related Fedora Discussion topic.
From my perspective in CommOps (and with a sideline in Data) I think we're already in a good place here, just because we have some functional lines of communication. So number one priority is to keep that going, and kudos to @gridhead for maintaining it.
I'd be interested to know what questions the Council want to answer with our data - we are already working on #96 for ourselves, and there is the badge work too, but is there more?
From my end, I worked on clarifying our documentation about Digital Ambassadorship #89. I plan on continuing the work by:
The design team are also working on the 'Get Started' poster mentioned on last weeks meeting: https://gitlab.com/fedora/design/team/requests/-/issues/121 We are hoping to have this complete for FOSSAsia and Scale.
I had a look at the agenda for the summit and it looks interesting! I don't really have any notes on that side of things.
set status to Done
The Fedora Council 2026 Strategy Summit passed. Since this ticket was eyeing the immediate timeline of collaboration for the Summit, I am closing this ticket as complete. 🌊
@gridhead @gwmngilfen @ekidney Thanks for your input here! :pray_tone1:
