Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
In our "event box" we do not have any material that contains substantial information about Fedora that we can distribute. We have a very small number of brochures “A Beginners Guide” left over from 2018, which are completely out of date and no longer suitable for distribution.
One possible measure is to update this brochure. Docs could help with this, but cannot do it alone. The Fedora Desktop WGs do not seem particularly interested. The 2018 edition was created by a group of ambassadors. Or we could ask one of our spins to help out, maybe Cosmic which is quite a modern desktop, but not an edition.
I got access to the source text and created a graphically simplified epub version for whose, who want to take a look.

Initial idea: Do we need to print the whole brochure, or could we provide a one page flyer with a link to the brochure or docs instead?

Discussed during the 2026-01-08 Mindshare Committee meeting.
In today's meeting, we identified that this request overlaps significantly with Design Team ticket #121 regarding an in-person brochure. The committee agreed that the Design Team ticket is the best place to centralize this work, prioritizing the physical brochure first and treating the digital version as a secondary phase.
Consequently, we agreed to close this ticket in favor of tracking the progress with the Design Team ticket. Please refer to Design Team ticket #121 for further updates and to collaborate with the Join SIG and Ambassadors.
Thanks @p.boy for bringing this to our attention, and please follow up with us on the Design Team ticket so we can adequately address the need! :pray_tone1: I think we can figure out something useful here, not just for FOSDEM, but for all events.
Closing this issue as
moved, since we will track progress in the Design Team ticket.
