I wonder if I can test it already, without committing?

No, because it uses pull_request_target . When you submit a PR containing a workflow that uses pull_request_target it will not be run, as that's a security risk. Only workflows that use pull_request are run for the PR that contains them.

It might be worth updating this with the config setting that makes it skip the summaries? I'm finding I like that format more.
