Hello,
My name is Jayson Vaughn. I am requesting a mentor to join the proven testers group.
A little about me: I have been a Linux user since late 1994. I am a professional Unix admin currently working with RHEL, Oracle Linux, and HPUX. I have been using Fedora as my primary workstation pretty much since it's inception.
Lately, I wish to give back to the community. I have recently been accepted to the Fedora triage team and now I wish to join the proven testers.
My contact info is:
Gmail and gtalk: vaughn.jayson@gmail.com
Freenode nick: thedonvaughn
Thank you for your time.
I'll be happy to sponsor you into the proventesters group once you have completed a few requirements. Please take a moment to read through the proventester instructions at:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Proven_tester
Once you have read through the instruction, can you please confirm that you ...:
have read and understand the instructions, and will follow the instructions when testing Fedora critical path updates.
understand how to enable the update-testing repository
are familiar with providing test feedback using either the Bodhi web interface, or the fedora-easy-karma utility
Once you confirm these three from the list above, then I will be happy to sponsor your membership in the proventester group, after you apply for membership of that group in FAS.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for taking the time to mentor me.
I can confirm I have met the three requirements you have asked of me.
I have applied for group membership in FAS.
Thanks.
OK I have sponsored you - enjoy testing as a proventester.
