This F45 Change might benefit from test days:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Grub2LightForConfidentialComputing

Assuming there's enough interest in the community, and from the developers (we need to find out).

If you take this ticket, please make the change owners subscribed to this ticket, talk to them whether organizing test days makes sense and whether they can participate (write test cases and other instructions), and help them handle the event preparation.

this is good, thanks @kparal . It does make sense to have a test-day once we have something solid

Great 🙂 Let's keep this open and update it once there's some progress. Do you have any estimate on when you could be ready?

@kparal
this is the state-of-art: we have created a POC, which works but it is part of a package (GRUB), so what is next is to create its own package (spec) and also complete the proposed requirements. This separate package is what we need to test on the test-day.

Timeline: I would expect to have something ready during August (end of) , a bit optimistic but it all depends on the context switch during this work.

Ok, thanks for info. Let's keep the ticket open and let's talk again in a month.

Just a reminder, the current F45 schedule expects:

Change Checkpoint: 100% Code Complete Deadline Tue 2026-08-25

@lsandova Hi, do you now have a better idea about the test days timing?
