It might be a good idea to organize test days for Cockpit.
Its some time after last cockpit test day: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2014-09-16_Cockpit#Test_Cases
If you take this ticket, please make the change owners subscribed to this ticket, talk to them whether organizing test days makes sense and whether they can participate (write test cases and other instructions), and help them handle the event preparation.
Will look.
@jscotka thanks !
If a Fedora 45 Test Day sounds good for your team, let us in Fedora QA know your preferred schedule!
We need to discuss and I can help about prerequisites like:
see https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/Test_Days
Here is example of wiki we need to create before Test Days: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2026-02-02_KDE_Plasma_6.6
Cockpit does have very extensive upstream automated tests, which is one reason I haven't really seen it as a big priority for test days. But humans can usually turn up something the robots miss for sure. :D
We've discussed it within cockpit team, Aleksandra proposed to do this testday in October, as we need to prepare this event, especially as advertising new features to public.
@jscotka
October could be too late. : https://fedorapeople.org/groups/schedule/f-45/f-45-key-tasks.html
Beta Freeze is August 25, Final Freeze is October 6, and the release is planned for October 20.
It would be better to do the test day before Final Freeze, so there is still time to fix bugs. Can we do late September instead?
