Name of the package?

wavemon

FAS username of the new maintainer?

iucar

Branches that you need it to be unretired for?

rawhide, f44, f43

Package re-review BZ URL?

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2486945

Any extra information?

This package was part of a bulk non-responsive orphaning in #12808, and then later retired. The package itself builds fine, and just needs a refresh to the current version of the software and the current packaging guidelines (which I have done in the re-review). A user requested the unretirement in the devel list, and I'm happy to take it.

Checklist

  • I have checked existing issues for duplicates
  • I have filled out all the fields above
  • The new maintainer is available and aware of this request
  • I have verified the retirement date and bugzilla ticket requirement (no ticket if <8 weeks, required if ≥8 weeks)

can't unretire it now; the Bugzilla ticket didn't get approved tag yet

Yeap, I was hoping to give it some visibility by posting here already. I'll comment back when it's approved.

@amedvede any reason why the automation didn't handle it? Is there a need to manually check it still?

@jnsamyak it didn't pass Bugzilla checks because it doesn't have a tag that shows the package is good to be unretired

Good, but was it handled through automation? Could you please point it out here with the link and then close this ticket?

Wait, why close this ticket?

Yeah, it wasn't processed yet because it required a valid Bugzilla ticket. Otherwise, when the ticket is processed, I will point it out to the automation in a comment

Your package is unretired by the automated process https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/infra/releng_misc_guide/sop_automatic_unretire/:

medvedev4@fedora:~/Downloads$ fedpkg --user iucar request-unretirement --repo wavemon --bz_bug_id 2486945 -b rawhide f43
https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/84368

The issue is that f44 wasn't created on repo distgit, but was blocked on koji, so I unblocked it on koji manually. fix that will be able to handle such cases will be deployed in the new version of fedpkg.
