Side tags for Perl 5.44 (Fedora 45) #13401

Describe the issue

Hi,
I need side tags f45-perl for Perl 5.44 rebuild. I am doing this as part of Perl 5.44 Change. About 600 packages will be rebuilt.

Please enable signing the packages so that merging the side tag is faster.

When do you need this? (2026/07/01)

I plan to start rebuild when final release appears, probably at beginning of July.

When is this no longer needed or useful?

After the side tag merge (I'll ask for it in a separate issue).

If we cannot complete this, what is the impact? [Dependencies/Blocker]

We would have to defer the Perl 5.44 change to a later Fedora release, which hasn't happened so far. We will strive to ship it on time.

Just a reminder that the Fedora 45 mass rebuild is due to start on 15 July, so this side tag will need to be merged well before that, otherwise you'll have to redo it all.

Understood. The rebuild will take me 2 days at most. In case the final release is not out by next week, I will use 5.44.0-RC1 for the update.
