We already discussed this shortly.
In a separate repo we could
If we do so, we should additionally decide whether we want to use separate tickets or prefer to continue with one ticket location.
My feelings: seperate repo: yes
but we continue to use server/tickets for ticketing. Keeps everything in one place.
I don't think it makes sense to separate the kiwi definitions from the larger fedora-kiwi-descriptions repository. We already have the server subfolder where your definitions live.
In light of @ngompa's comment: let's put the kiwi file with the rest of them and a separate repo for our testing releases.
Still use our single ticketing repo, as it can provide a good overview of all of the projects we have going at this time
Regarding Kiwi definitions: In the long term the kiwi file has to be included into the releases, of course. But during development it seems not appropriate because we can't change it or our own. So we can't keep it current during development. And we have no available development area in Fedora infra (according to nirik).
Status as of meeting May 13, 2026
AGREED: We create a separate repo for home server
We still have to decide whether we want to have a separate ticket space or keep integrating it into the main ticket area.
Status as of meeting May 20, 2026:
AGREED: We keep the home server spin-off tickets integrated with our main ticket repository.
