Server installation media has been unchanged for a long time. It's time to run them through a review. The objective is to check for desirable or necessary adjustments based on interim developments.

This simultaneously includes various issues that address individual aspects of such a review:

Most important and most urgent:

Issue #32 Synchronize Server full install and net install iso images
Issue #48 Determine Current Size of Full Install
Furthermore:
Bug/RFE 2054626 Important packages missing from Server DVD ISO
Issue #65 Adding Upgrade notification (dns-automatic) to install image
Issue #55 Revisiting default editor for Fedora Server Edition
Issue #54 Include automatic notification of updates (dnf-automatic) in Fedora Server
Issue #51 Revisiting "Software Selection" options in Server Installation

Proposed target release is now F41

Additional, more far-reaching plans:

In Server's Anaconda installation, you can also choose Minimal instead of Fedora Server. We have to check what is actually installed there. If it has nothing to do with Server, we should remove it.
We should make better use of Anaconda's capabilities to make installation easier und mot efficient for administrators. In addition to the current generic version, we may also offer typical special versions such as web services, local file servers or home servers. This would require extensive configuration of the file system during installation (instead manually in post-install).
The additional installation options are all quite outdated. They should be revised. Among other things, we want to add the option to configure vim as default instead of Fedora default Nano Editor as before.
